Salamander Brooch

$3,200.00

This Victorian salamander, or lizard brooch is one of my favorite pieces to have come through my shop. Fine rose and mine cut diamonds are meticulously organized into the silver setting creating beautiful texture and musculature. Two small garnets are fashioned into adorable eyes and a row of electric opal cabochons decorate the spine, as well as movement and color. The backing and pin are made of 9k gold and is very secure. This brooch is in virtually perfect antique condition with a tiny stone is missing at the tip of the tail.

Period: Late Victorian

Dimensions: 1” x 1/4”
